FAQ
Before we start.
Straight answers for founders and product owners who are deciding whether they need a team — or the right engineer.
Do I need a full engineering team?
Often, no. The homepage line is the honest one: you don’t need a team, you need the right engineer. I have served as CTO and founding engineer on products that later sold, and I still write the code. If you later need a team, I can help you see that clearly too.
How do you usually work with founders?
Identify the requirement, ideate, plan, then stay for the patches and releases. I collaborate with founders and product owners who think in systems. Some engagements start as a 1:1 on Upwork; some start with the consultation form. Both are fine.
Can I hire you on Upwork?
Yes. You can book a 1:1 consultation or hire me directly on Upwork. If you would rather write first, use the contact form — name, a rough brief, a budget, and when you want to start.
What if our budget is small?
It’s fine if it’s low. Good ideas start small. The budget field on the form is there so I can aim, not so I can decline you on a number.
Which industries have you shipped in?
HR tech, gaming, fintech, hospitality, healthcare, entertainment, and Web3, with earlier work in ad tech, social, marketing, hiring, background verification, and data science. The products have been used by over 100 million users and more than 1,000 enterprise clients.
Where are you based?
The internet. The work is remote. If you want a face, LinkedIn and Instagram are public; GitHub is NiteshOswal.
